At the heart of the D1 is the world's first Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) – a breakthrough that redefines the capabilities of dynamic headphones.
The D1 was developed eight years ago and has undergone continuous improvement ever since. The result of four decades of acoustic expertise from HEDD, it was developed in collaboration with Composite Sound from Sweden, specialists in advanced audio membranes.

Lightweight, comfortable, durable – material and workmanship
The D1 is the world's first headphone to feature a dynamic driver and a Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD). Developed in collaboration with Composite Sound in Sweden, it combines HEDD's 40 years of acoustic expertise with cutting-edge materials science. The result is studio-quality clarity and balanced sound, as well as fatigue-free comfort. Manufactured in Germany, the D1 comes with a 5-year warranty.
