Monitor controller

The Lake People monitor controller MC100 offers with its 5 inputs, including a USB input with high-quality D/A converter, 2 slave outputs, 3 speaker outputs plus subwoofer output and the headphone path with X-Feed significantly more than usual monitor controllers. The complete set of stereo signal manipulation options such as solo L/R, channel swap, phase reverse, mono, mute and dim and the high-quality volume control make it stand out from the crowd. It's also as low noise and low distortion as physics will allow.

Stereo inputs

The inputs are activated on the front via buttons either individually or summing, active inputs are indicated via LEDs. The unbalanced inputs (Input 3 and 4) can each be set to sensitivity -10 dBV or +4 dBu.The USB input LED indicates PCM signals in green and DSD signals in blue.

The stereo signal can be largely manipulated via keys. The respective activated state is indicated via LEDs. It is possible to switch the left or right channel to solo, to swap right and left, to swap the phase of the left channel or to switch the signal to mono. Additionally, Dim (-20 dB) and Mute are available.

Lake People MC100
  • Two rear balanced inputs (Input 1 and 2) via balanced XLR jacks

  • One rear unbalanced input using RCA (RCA) jacks (Input 3)

  • One front unbalanced input with 3.5mm TRS phone jacks (Input 4)

  • A rear USB input with high-quality D/A converter for PCM signals up to 384 kHz / 32 bit and DSD 256 (Input 5)

Volume control

The high-quality detented Alps RK27 volume control with 41-position detent and massive 50 mm knob operates the three playout paths plus the subwoofer output.

Stereo outputs

The rear slave outputs "Slave Out 1" and "Slave Out 2" are on balanced XLR jacks, they can also be operated unbalanced. Here level meters and other devices can be powered bypassing the volume control.

The rear outputs "A, B, C and Sub (Mono)" are on balanced XLR jacks, they can also be operated unbalanced. All groups can be adjusted in level in 3 steps (0, -6, -12 dB) via switches.

Output groups

The output groups "A, B and C" can be switched mutually triggering or summing by pressing a button. The "sub" output can be individually switched, the assignment to the respective group is stored - so it does not have to be constantly reset after a change.

Headphone amp

The headphone amplifier is separately activated via a button, it has an own volume control. Furthermore, X-Feed can be switched on, this effect minimizes the "in-the-head localization" when listening via headphones, simulating a playback via speakers. The X-Feed effect is adjustable via a knob. The headphone amplifier is extremely powerful, headphones with 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm jack can be connected.
