What is TPCD?
Thin-Ply Carbon (TPC) is no ordinary carbon fiber. Composed of ultra-thin layers of carbon that are precisely aligned and bonded, TPC is prized for its exceptional stiffness-to-density ratio, low mass, and resilience. As such, it has become the material of choice for extreme performance demands, from Formula 1 car chassis to NASA’s Mars helicopter, Ingenuity.
In the D1, TPC becomes something entirely new: the Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD).
